Call for Papers

SCOPE:

The objective of the conference is to enhance Health, Safety, Security and Environmental Protection in the region by providing a forum for practitioners from various industries, academia, and government to share their experiences, achievements, technological advances and innovations in HSSE.

TOPICS FOR PRESENTATIONS:

Presentations relating to theme of the conference are welcome. Following major disciplines will be covered:

Occupational Health / Industrial Hygiene
Process Safety
Personnel Safety
Fire Safety
Environmental Engineering and Management
Loss Prevention
Industrial Security
Behavior Based Safety (BBS)
Ergonomics
Journey Management.

ELIGIBILITY:

Organizations, Professionals, Consultants, Teachers, Scientists, Research Scholars and Students.

NUMBER OF AUTHORS:

A maximum of three authors are accepted per presentation.

CONFERENCE EXPENSES:

Presenters shall be permitted to attend the conference technical sessions FREE OF CONFERENCE REGISTRATION FEE.
Students and researchers registered with University or Recognized research institution will be reimbursed a portion of the expenses, as decided by the Conference Organizing Committee.

PAPER PRESENTATIONS:

I. Abstract Submission

Technical and e-poster presentations for the conference will be selected from the abstract submitted to the Conference Organizing Committee. Early submission is particularly important to ensure that the committee members have enough time to review the abstract. The authors of the accepted abstracts will be notified to submit the full paper as per the guidelines. Time duration for the paper presentation shall be 30 minutes including the discussion.

Note: Abstracts must be previously unpublished work at the time of submission. The late submission of abstract will not be accepted.

II. Abstract Content

To enable a proper review of your abstract, please ensure that it contains adequate and valuable information to make a judgment. Written in English / Arabic and containing 450 words, paper proposals shall include the following:

    Objectives/Scope - List the objectives and/or scope of the proposed paper. (Max. 75 words)

      Methodology: Briefly explain your overall approach, including your methods, procedures and process. (Max. 100 words)

          Novel/Additive Information: Explain how this paper will present novel (new) or additive information to the existing body of literature that can be of benefit to and/or add to the state of knowledge in the industry. (Max. 75 words)

                  Guidelines for the Presenters:

                  Please plan your presentation with the following points in mind:

                      Use concrete examples / case studies;
                      Include hints for immediate user implementation;
                      Don’t be theoretical; use real events or case studies;
                      Use best practices, including a variety of opinions / recommendations.

                  Paper presenters are expected to:

                  1. Work closely with Conference Organizers in advance of the Conference;
                  2. Provide a high-quality Conference paper for inclusion in proceedings CD; a detailed format guideline will be sent to the authors based on the approval of the abstracts;
                  3. Provide a short outline of the presentation for inclusion in the Conference brochure;
                  4. Make no substantive changes in content, process, names or numbers of presenters without the approval of the conference organizers ;
                  5. Agree to have the session audio and video recorded to provide ongoing learning for Conference participants who are unable to attend their session (if appropriate to proposed design);
                  6. Agree to refrain from marketing their products or services and to share openly their knowledge, experience, skills, and creativity with participants.
                  7. Agree to high quality Audio Video presentation.
